Review of the Zeikos ZE-HC36 Medium Hard Case

I am a professional photographer and perhaps among my biggest concern is finding a case that would not only accommodate all my things but also keep it safe and protected. There are tons of products out in the market that promises to address this concern. However, mind you they are not cheap. They come with a rather expensive price tag. I am not after sporting the trendiest or the most lucrative case. I am content in the thought that I wouldn’t have to worry about breaking my camera or carrying a lot of baggage to hold everything that I need for a photo shoot.

Features

  • Heavy duty case
  • Customizable, diced foam for easy customization
  • 2 removeable dividers
  • Locking clasps
  • Adjustable, removeable shoulder strap

My Thoughts

The Zeikos ZE-HC36 Medium Hard Case was just the product that I needed. The case actually measures 18 x 13.5 x 6.5 inches and weighs 5.4 lbs without all my things in it. The exterior of the product doesn’t say that it costs less than a nice branded camera case. It comes in chrome, dark grey and light grey which makes it look sleek and classy. Its interior is made up of soft, diced foam that secures all the equipment in place. The interior is also made for easy customization. The sides of the case is made of strong panels that make it durable enough to withstand the bumps and bruises that cannot be overlooked when travelling for a photo shoot. The clasp is very strong and it does not easily get open even if it gets bumped. On the other hand the handle is made of a highly durable plastic that is structured and designed to fit perfectly to the hand. Another thing worth mentioning and something that makes this product seemingly unique is that the lid actually stays upright when opened. This makes things much easier, especially if you are working on a very limited space.

A photographer’s gadgets are quite expensive and frankly you can’t afford to have it broken or damaged because repair would costs as much as buying a new one. This is why we photographers invest in buying a durable and reliable case that will protect our valuable investments. At under $30 on Amazon you have just the right hard case that will not only hold all your things but protect them as well.

Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5DII

Review for Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5DII

I am a professional photographer and my work pretty much entails long hours of taking pictures and capturing images. Sometimes a photo shot would last for several hours and making sure that I capture the right images is necessary. I can’t be delayed even for just a couple of minutes. This is why I searched high and low for the most economical and more reliable tool that would allow me to extend my shooting time.

Initial Impressions

I naturally believe that quality should not be compensated for anything especially price but if I can find a product that offers nearly the same result at a much cheaper price then the better. This was actually what I got after ordering Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5DII from Amazon.com for just US$ 75.00. This was actually a good deal considering that it was shipped right on my doorstep the day after I placed my order online.
Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5DII is no Canon BG-E6 but it nearly offers the same efficiency as the branded one. Besides retailing at US$75 compared to Canon’s US$ 236.75 it’s not a bad thing at all. Aesthetic wise, I have to say that it looks just as good if not better than its branded counterpart. It is also designed to address the common issues of photographers in terms of convenience and reliability. Like in the case of having all the buttons placed on the grip that is highly convenient when you are taking all these great shots and you don’t have much time to search for the buttons. Another great feature of this product is that the battery compartment is strategically placed at the back so you don’t have to remove it from the tripod in case you want to replace the batteries. If you are after extended shooting time well this product is just the right one for you. I can vouch for that having to use it for more than 15 hours and I didn’t have any trouble at all. This is because it can hold two batteries for twice as much power. So talk about dependable! In addition to what is already considered an excellent feature, it also includes a well constructed tray to accommodate 6 AA batteries to match your need for power.

Final Thoughts

Over-all I should say that Zeikos ZE-CBG5DII Battery Grip for Canon 5DII is worth every penny. It could replace the most expensive branded products of its kind in the market. Being a professional photographer myself, quality and affordability is an excellent combination. No one should be asked to pay more for something to could have at a lesser price but delivers the same high quality output.

Technical Specifications:

· Professional high quality battery grip for Canon EOS 5D Mark II

· Effectively doubling your shooting time

· Holds 2 BP-E6 Li-Ion Rechargeable Batteries

· Complete with holder for 6 AA Batteries

· Vertical firing release with lock

Designer Camera Strap Review – Pepper

Posted by admin On April - 26 - 2009

Pepper Designer Camera StrapSpice up your camera” is Pepper’s Logo, and it certainly is what they do with this great product. I’ve been using my “Galaxy” strap for about a week now and I have to say I never knew a strap could make this much difference. This product review is completely voluntary but Pepper Straps was kind enough to send me one for review at my request. I had needed a new strap for my Atlanta photography sessions and heard good things about this company. Lori Nordstrom, the owner of the company, asked what design I’d like (they have a ton of choices) and I asked that she decide for me…
